Context and Challenges
Sodexo needed to improve the reliability of accounting data and reporting from its subsidiaries and business units.
In line with its corporate values, Sodexo wished to invest in support systems for its teams working around the world. Sodexo staff responsible for financial consolidation and reporting, dispersed across 80 countries, apply specific processes to ensure the reliability of the data they report.
Staff turnover was resulting in training issues, as evidenced by the number of calls for business support, so Sodexo Group Performance Solutions (GPS) unit decided to optimize communication between headquarters and other entities and to efficiently share a financial data repository.

To meet its financial data quality challenges, Sodexo decided to install Shortways virtual assistant for all staff using Oracle Hyperion Financial Management software, as a means of communicating reliable information and documentation to them quickly via a single canal, and avoiding the use of email.
Shortways was a natural choice in view of its ease of use and light maintenance.Â After centralizing and organizing all its business knowledge in a wiki library on a Microsoft Sharepoint intranet, Sodexo deployed Shortways for 200 financial staff.
